Mrs. Jodi Brandel is our teacher for grades 3 and 4. She also coordinates the school and church music.

Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Martin Luther College in 2002 and a Master of Education degree from the University of MN, Twin Cities in 2005. As part of her final Masters project, she taught in Thailand for three weeks. She taught K-2 for two years at St. John's Lutheran School in NE Minneapolis. She also taught departmentalized K-6 Writing during summer school at St. John's. After St. John's merged with Pilgrim Lutheran School in south Minneapolis, she taught 2nd and 3rd for one year and 1st and 2nd grades for another year at Pilgrim. She taught grades K-6 departmentalized Language Arts at Pilgrim's summer school for two years. Jodi taught Kindergarten and was the director of music for three years at Ascension Lutheran School in Plymouth. This is her 4th year teaching grades 3 and 4 at Salem. She has written two online undergraduate education college courses. Jodi is married, has a daughter, and is originally from Nicollet, MN.
